Hey all. Since my last update my love for Frisbee golf has only grown larger and I am now the proud owner for a 4 disc set and carry bag. No, I’m not joking. Fellow Team Pokerstars Bryan Huang and his wife have been staying here while in Sydney for the Sydney Champs and if there’s one man on earth who will foster a love for Frisbee golf in anyone around him – it’s Bryan. I have no quarry with it – it’s a fantastic sport and a great excuse to get out of the house for an hour. If anyone else in Sydney wants to head out for a throw, let me know!
Pokerwise I am back to the grind after the ANZPT in Queenstown and am happy to be playing online again. I did foray once again into the dark abyss that is live poker yesterday to play the $440 PLO tourney at The Star but alas luck was not on my side and I was out in a matter of hours. My first table of the day was literally the softest of any table I have ever been at – including microstakes online – which is saying something. I played maybe 50 hands there and 45 of them had at least 6 people to the flop and there were even some 9-way pots (9-handed table). Insanity.
I’ll be heading to Melbourne for the APPT at the end of the month to punish myself with a bit more live poker. Actually in all honesty, I am enjoying playing the occasional tournament nowadays. I’m especially looking forward to the non-holdem events and hopefully they get a solid turnout in Melbourne. In between then and now I am going to be grinding my heart out online and am actually looking forward to it. I’m working on a couple of different aspects of my game and am eager to see how they go at the tables.
Lastly I wanted to share fellow Pokerstars Team Online Greg “DaWarsaw” Mikielewicz’s short film which is the next in a line of great Team Online films already out there. I love the idea behind the films — getting to know the members of the team a bit better through an enjoyable medium. I’m sure Greg is a great inspiration to any aspiring Polish poker players not to mention everyone else. Here’s the clip and a link to his blog – check it out:
