I’ve made a couple of dishes that I’m particularly proud of over the last 24 hours and figured I would share them with my blogworld friends.

Indian spices fish grilled w/ tomatoes and onions, served w/ a simple salad of greens & red radish

I liked this one so much that I’m making it again tonight. The fish was so incredibly flavoursome and it basically melted in your mouth. Yummy!

    Reverse-seared rib-eye steak

    Reverse-seared rib-eye steak

This was today’s lunch. I used the reverse-sear method highly regarded in the OOT Steak Thread and don’t think I will go back to cooking a steak differently again. The basic premise is that you heat a pan to medium heat, throw the steak on and cook it for 1-2 minutes each side (more if it’s thicker). You then rest it for a few minutes as you would with any steak but before serving you throw it back onto the pan for 20-30 seconds a side at super high heat to form a good crust and also get the steak back to a hot temperature. Came out perfectly. I can’t wait to try it with a thicker steak!

Hi GLR! I’m javieralberto from Chile, awesome job on plo tables, I am playing nlhe 4 life now and want to do it in the future but playing plo, I read almost your entire blog, read some introductory articles and learning as much I can, please play shortstack in the next video for pokerstrategy and if you could do it, talk about the teory to be a sucksess shortstack players, thanx a lot and sorry 4 my english.

        Hey there,

Thanks :) I appreciate the suggestion but I don’t plan on making any short-stack specific videos for PokerStrategy (or any site for that matter). I’m a firm believer that you cannot profitably play a shortstack without also being competent playing deep, so keep working on your fullstack game and it will benefit you both deep and short. I will make mention occasionally to adjustments that need to be made when shorter stacks are taken into consideration but I am not willing to divulge the vast majority of my strategy / game plan for playing short.

Hey roy, regarding my latinamerican fellow, what it can be the overall strategy for play against short stacks, pretty tight, or pretty loose and steal the blinds without hesitation. regards

      • http://godlikeroy.com GodlikeRoy

Basically “it depends” is all I can say here. Some shortstacks are tight, some are loose, some are aggro, some are passive. You need to find the best way to beat them just like any other player.
